About Richard
I am a caring and compassionate student of the sciences. I achieved a first in my Masters of Biomedical Engineering in 2020.
I have experiencing in tutoring young children in reading, writing, and arithmetic, now I'm keen to turn my tutoring practice towards older students in the fields I am passionate about, especially maths and physics.

I know that every student is different, as such the most important skill I can have is the ability to personalise lessons to account for the many ways students think and learn.
My lessons are largely conversational, it is more valuable to help a student find their own way to truly understand a topic, than to simply ensure they will be able to answer questions on an exam by rote.
This is one element of learning that large educational systems cannot possibly guarantee their students and is part of the true value of having access to a personal tutor.
