About Philip
I have an Associate of Engineering degree, and am currently working towards a BA in Electrical Engineering at East Carolina University. I have completed all of my math credits through Calculus III , Statistics, and Differential Equations. I have a deep understanding and experience tutoring a broad range of mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and precalculus.

I believe that the best way to learn mathematics is to first learn how to solve the problems and then go back and learn the concepts and what the solutions mean. I believe that there are two main stages of learning math concepts. The first stage is learning the steps and focusing on getting the correct solution. When the student knows how to get the correct answer, they can then shift their focus to understanding why certain steps had to be taken to get the solution, and what the solution means.
