About Matthew
I'm a Mechanical Engineering Graduate, obtaining a First-Class Master's degree from the University of Southampton. I also have 3 A-levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, all achieved at grade A. My strong academic background, combined with real-world experience working in the highly demanding and competitive Formula One industry, equips me with a deep understanding of both theoretical concepts and their practical applications. Additionally, as a sportsman at heart I have learnt how to help others improve and push them to achieve their full potential.

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching:
I adopt a calm, approachable, and structured teaching style, ensuring that each session is tailored to the student’s needs. My goal is to build understanding and confidence through a logical, step-by-step approach, allowing students to grasp concepts fully. I believe in reinforcing knowledge by revisiting and repeating key content, which helps solidify understanding and retention.
Typical Lesson Length:
While I offer lessons of various lengths to suit individual preferences, I find that a one-hour session is optimal for maintaining focus and ensuring a productive learning environment.
Experience:
My teaching experience spans across both academic subjects and sports, including tutoring in Maths and Science, as well as instructing tennis, sailing, and basketball.
Who I Teach:
I cater to a wide range of students, from GCSE and A-level students looking to excel in their exams, to university students pursuing engineering degrees. My lessons are suitable for anyone eager to improve their understanding, whether you’re a high school student or a university-level engineer.
