About Callum
I am a recent graduate from Imperial College London, holding a master's degree in Chemical Engineering. I worked in a multidisciplinary field where I needed to coherently explain technical concepts to a wider non-technical audience. This required me to use analogies and imagery to convey understanding, a fundamental pillar of my teaching philosophy.
I work in a field where mathematics is the very foundation of what we do, so I can confidently answer the question "Why do we need to know maths"

I believe in breaking problems down to their fundamentals, I strive to build a strong foundation of first principle understanding that can be built upon in further education. I aim to work interactively with students to target weak areas of knowledge and reinforce their existing strengths
I am flexible in lesson length, understanding that the requirements and preferences of students differ. I am open to teaching students of all capabilities
I gained A* in Maths and Chemistry along with an A in Physics at A level, which I then honed into a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
