About Quentin
Hi, I’m Quentin (you can call me Q). I have a background in chemical engineering and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. My academic and professional experience has given me a strong foundation in science, particularly in chemistry, biology, and anatomy.
Throughout my studies, I have developed the ability to understand complex scientific concepts and explain them in a clear and practical way. I have often helped classmates work through difficult topics, break down problems step by step, and prepare for exams. I enjoy making challenging material feel more manageable and helping others gain confidence in subjects that can initially feel overwhelming.
I am patient, reliable, and organized, and I take pride in creating a supportive and structured learning environment. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and pace to match each individual’s needs.

My approach to tutoring science subjects is centered on clarity, structure, and building strong foundational understanding. I believe that many difficulties in subjects like chemistry, biology, and anatomy come from concepts not being explained in a way that truly connects. My goal is to simplify complex topics into clear, step-by-step explanations so students can fully understand and retain the material.
A typical lesson begins with a quick assessment of the student’s needs and a review of any previous material. I then introduce or revisit key concepts using straightforward explanations, visual examples, and real-world connections when possible. After that, we work through guided practice together, such as solving problems or reviewing questions step by step. I encourage active participation and questions throughout the session, and I regularly check for understanding. I usually end with a brief summary and, if needed, provide additional practice or study strategies.
What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex scientific concepts into simple and logical steps. My background in chemical engineering and current nursing studies have trained me to both understand and apply science in practical ways, and I bring that same approach to tutoring. I am patient, adaptable, and focused on helping students build confidence as well as knowledge.

I tutor subjects including General Chemistry, Introductory Chemistry, General Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology.
