About Harsh
Hi, I'm Harsh! I'm a Computer Systems Engineering graduate from the University of Auckland, currently completing my Master's in Reinforcement Learning while working as a university Teaching Assistant. I've always enjoyed the moment when a concept finally clicks for someone — it's actually why I got into teaching in the first place, and I'm also an active member of Toastmasters, so communicating clearly is something I genuinely care about, not just something I do. I tutor because I remember exactly what it felt like to be stuck on a math problem before an exam, and I want to give students the same confidence and clarity that helped me get through my own NCEA and university studies. Outside of tutoring and research, I play tennis and enjoy staying active. I bring the same patience and consistency to teaching as I do to training.

I teach Maths for NCEA and Cambridge students, from Year 9 through to Level 3 and A-Level. As an Engineering Graduate now completing a Masters in Reinforcement Learning at the University of Auckland, I bring a problem-solving, first-principles approach — breaking concepts down into their building blocks rather than just teaching methods to memorise, so ideas actually stick rather than being forgotten after the exam. I also currently work as a university Teaching Assistant, so I'm used to explaining tricky concepts clearly to students at different levels. Lessons typically run 60 minutes, with practice questions set between sessions to reinforce what we've covered. Sessions are available online or in-person, tailored to whether a student needs steady confidence-building or focused exam preparation
