About Jessica
I am an engineering geologist, with a background in geology and oceanography. I have been giving maths lessons since 2016, to students aged from 9 - 16. I have received a lot of positive feedback through students achieving or surpassing their predicted grades; I only take on a few students at once to ensure I able to devote ample time to a thorough understanding of concepts.

My teaching method is based upon the student gaining a thorough of understanding concepts , followed by focussing on specific topics and methods that are examinable. This should work in parallel with the classes the student receives at school, to boost their confidence and competence. Learning in a busy classroom can be challenging, with distractions or little one-on-one help, I aim to take a patient approach to ensure that every concept is understood - using a variety of different explanations if necessary.

Details
My rate is the same regardless of the level of the student. I require 24hr notice for cancellation of lessons. I understand that sometimes life gets in the way of tutoring, so the first time there is no notice there will be no fee. Subsequent occurrences will require the payment of the lesson.
