About Tamanna
Hi! I am an Engineering and Architectural Design Graduate with First Class Honours from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. I hold a triple accreditation in Architecture (RIBA Part I), Structural Engineering (JBM) and Environmental Engineering (CIBSE). I am currently working as a Sustainability Consultant for an international engineering firm based in the UK.
I have extensive mentoring and tutoring experience, with a specialism in helping students with their architecture university applications as well as career consulting.
I am also trained in Child Protection in Education and have an Enhanced DBS Certificate.

Pursuing architecture at the university level can be a very rewarding experience for anyone who enjoys working with the sciences and the arts in tandem. However, the creative nature of this degree can make the application process seem intimidating, especially when applying to competitive universities such as Cambridge and UCL. As a recent graduate from one of the world’s best architecture schools (Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL) with a First Class Honours in MEng Engineering and Architectural Design, I can help Year 12/13 students with their Architecture University application.
CAREER CONSULTING
The career consulting sessions can be used to help the students discuss their career prospects in Architecture or the Built Environment. Often students struggle with university course choices. Therefore, I can help them understand the entry requirements, potential accreditations, job prospects as well as the overall learning style of the potential course choices. This session can also be used to set a list of goals and targets for the rest of the sessions in this package.
PERSONAL STATEMENT PROOF-READING
A personal statement is one of the first impressions that a potential university advisor will get of an applicant, making it one of the essential parts of the application process. In this session, I will review and proofread your personal statement draft and help you customise it for your unique university choices.
PORTFOLIO WORKSHOP
Most world-class universities offering Architecture (or related courses) require a physical or digital portfolio to be presented at an interview. Here, I can assess your existing portfolio pages and help you improve your visual and verbal presentation using a range of different platforms to ensure you can successfully communicate your ideas and passions at the interview stage. These sessions will be very conversational and will include architecture school type-tutorials where I help you develop your design concepts and format a professional-looking portfolio
INTERVIEW & ADMISSION TEST PRACTICE
I can help you with admission test practice by sharing useful hints and tips as well as practising mock interviews in individual 1-2-1 sessions.
