As a tutor with a background in Civil Engineering, I use a step-by-step, real-world approach to help students grasp difficult concepts in math and science. I believe that learning becomes easier when students understand the “why” behind the lessons—not just the formulas or definitions. I guide students by connecting topics to real-life applications, visuals, and logic to make lessons engaging and easier to retain.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous topics, followed by a clear explanation of the new lesson using examples, visual aids, and guided problem-solving. I let students solve similar problems with support and encourage them to explain the steps in their own words to strengthen understanding. We finish with a short recap and simple practice tasks for retention.
What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex topics into digestible parts using techniques from my engineering background—like pattern recognition, problem breakdown, and logical reasoning. I also adapt my teaching style to match each student’s pace, confidence level, and preferred learning method.
My lessons are designed for middle school students (Grades 5 to 10) who need help in math or science—whether they’re struggling to keep up, preparing for exams, or simply want to boost their confidence in class.
