About Zeina

I'm a dedicated educator with a passion for empowering students to acquire Arabic smoothly. Since graduating as an English teacher in 2006, I've embarked on a fulfilling journey in the field of education, specializing in teaching English for specific purposes.
I started teaching Arabic as a second language when I discovered how expats need to learn Arabic in middle East for their work. My target is to teach Levant accent and show them how charmy it is. Teaching Arabic is so much fun because I want all learners see how beautiful is the language by listening to music, cooking and showing them our beautiful historical places.

As a native Arabi teacher, the techniques and teaching methodology I employ are designed to engage students and facilitate their language learning effectively. Here's an overview:

Communicative Approach: Emphasizing communication as the primary goal, I integrate speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities that encourage active participation and interaction among students.

Task-based Learning: Structuring lessons around real-life tasks and activities enables students to apply language skills in practical contexts, fostering meaningful learning experiences.

Differentiated Instruction: Tailoring lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles, interests, and proficiency levels ensures that all students are appropriately challenged and supported in their language development.

Use of Authentic Materials: Incorporating authentic texts, multimedia resources, and cultural artifacts exposes students to natural language use and cultural nuances, enhancing their language comprehension and cultural awareness.

Integrated Skills Development: Integrating language skills within thematic units or projects promotes holistic language acquisition and enables students to make meaningful connections across language domains.

Formative Assessment: Implementing ongoing assessment strategies such as quizzes, peer evaluations, and feedback sessions allows for continuous monitoring of student progress and adjustment of instructional approaches as needed.

Technology Integration: Leveraging educational technology tools and digital resources facilitates interactive learning experiences, promotes student engagement, and provides opportunities for independent practice and exploration.

Collaborative Learning: Encouraging collaborative tasks, group discussions, and peer collaboration fosters a supportive learning environment where students can learn from and with each other.

Scaffolded Instruction: Providing structured support and gradual release of responsibility enables students to build confidence and competence in language use, gradually moving towards greater independence and autonomy.

Culturally Responsive Teaching: Acknowledging and incorporating students' cultural backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives into the curriculum promotes inclusivity, respect, and cultural competence within the classroom.

Typical Length of a Lesson:
The typical length of a lesson can vary depending on the learning objectives, student needs, and institutional requirements. However, a standard lesson duration may range from 60 minutes to 90 minutes, allowing sufficient time for engaging activities, instruction, practice, and reflection.

Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor:
As a qualified English teacher, I hold a Bachelor's degree in education. Additionally, I possess practical classroom experience, ongoing professional development, and a commitment to lifelong learning and reflective practice.

Who Are Your Lessons For (Level, Age, etc.):
My lessons are designed for learners of Arabic as a second/foreign language across diverse proficiency levels (beginner to advanced) and age groups (children, adolescents, adults). I cater to learners in various educational settings, including schools, language institutes, and corporate training programs, adapting instruction to meet the specific needs and goals of each student cohort.
