About Lisa
I am a dedicated Spanish tutor with 10 years of teaching experience and a genuine passion for helping High School and College students succeed. During my career, I have successfully taught around 150 students with different learning abilities and educational backgrounds. These experiences have helped me understand that every student deserves a personalised approach to learning.
My teaching philosophy focuses on helping students build confidence while mastering the fundamentals of Spanish. I teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, speaking, and listening using interactive activities, practical conversations, and real-life examples. I encourage students to communicate as much as possible because confidence develops through regular practice.
Regular assessments, revision sessions, and constructive feedback help students recognise their progress and continue improving. I also include cultural learning that allows students to understand Spanish beyond grammar and vocabulary, making lessons more engaging and practical.
Helping students improve academically while becoming confident Spanish speakers has been one of my proudest accomplishments. Their success continues to inspire my commitment to teaching.
My mission is to help every learner enjoy studying Spanish, achieve their educational goals, and develop communication skills that will benefit them throughout life.

My approach to teaching Spanish emphasises motivation, communication, creativity, and time management. Motivation is key—I encourage students by setting achievable goals, celebrating milestones, and creating a positive learning environment.
Communication is central to my methodology; I focus on developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through interactive exercises and real-life practice. Creativity plays an important role in my teaching; I use storytelling, games, role-plays, and visual activities to make lessons fun, engaging, and memorable.
Time management ensures that lessons are structured and productive, covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation practice effectively. I also guide students on how to organise their own study time outside class.
Along with Spanish, I can teach related subjects such as grammar basics, pronunciation, and general communication skills. My goal is to make learning Spanish simple, practical, and confidence-building.
