About Rebecca
I am an emerging mathematics specialist with 3 years of instructional development teaching beginner learners. I have successfully guided around 118 students, helping them build foundational thinking and introductory analytical reasoning. My teaching philosophy emphasizes patiently explained instruction, confidence-building emphasis, and reasoning development, ensuring each student progresses comfortably through mathematics basics. I focus on foundational thinking, basic reasoning, and accessible mathematics through organized, supportively structured practice. My teaching method for Mathematics, Foundational Thinking, and Introductory Reasoning focuses on establishing preliminary mathematical understanding via patiently explained, confidence-building direction throughout three years of instruction.
Patiently explained instruction characterizes my pedagogical design, breaking mathematical concepts into understandable pieces and verifying comprehension before advancing further.
Confidence-building emphasis shapes my teaching approach, celebrating incremental achievements and creating safe spaces where mathematical learning feels manageable rather than intimidating.
Reasoning development guides my lessons, establishing foundational analytical competencies that support all subsequent mathematical learning and conceptual advancement.
Sessions typically commence with foundational numerical concepts and basic reasoning, progress through introductory algebraic thinking, and gradually introduce elementary analytical approaches.
For students demonstrating comfortable foundational understanding, I extend into function basics, simple geometric concepts, and applied reasoning scenarios.
I adapt my teaching to each student's starting knowledge level and learning pace, whether completely new to formal mathematics or reinforcing foundational concepts. My aim is a patient, encouraging environment where mathematical thinking develops securely.
