About Scott
Scott Lewicki has been passionately practicing and teaching yoga for over 30 years. He earned his first yoga teaching certification in 1997 from the Center for Yoga in Los Angeles. Since then, he has continuously deepened his practice and teaching skills under the guidance of many renowned teachers, including Geeta Iyengar, Manouso Manos, Dona Holleman, Ramanand Patel, Aadil Palkhivala, Kofi Busia, Richard Freeman, Rod Stryker, and Ana Forrest. A transformative workshop with John Friend in January 2000 led Scott to dedicate himself to the study of Anusara Yoga, and by January 2004, he had earned his certification as an Anusara Yoga teacher.
During his journey within the Anusara community, Scott had the privilege of studying with exceptional teachers such as Noah Mazé, Darren Rhodes, Sianna Sherman, Christina Sell, Mitchel Bleier, and others. His exploration of yoga philosophy and meditation has been profoundly enriched by learning from esteemed scholars like Georg Feuerstein, Douglas Brooks, Paul Muller-Ortega, Bill Mahony, Carlos Pomeda, and Sally Kempton.
After 2012, Scott embarked on a journey to find his own voice and unique style, stepping beyond the Anusara school. He deepened his knowledge of Western anatomy through studies with Gil Hedley, Thomas Myers, and Leslie Kaminoff and broadened his teaching to include workshops on the history of yoga, partner yoga, and partner acrobatics and movement. His passion for teaching has taken him internationally to destinations such as Bali, Australia, and Ireland.
Scott’s teaching style is a dynamic blend of playfulness and challenge, encouraging students to explore their practice deeply and connect with their hearts in every aspect of their lives. A lifelong student himself, Scott continually expands his knowledge of yoga, philosophy, and meditation, bringing his passion for learning and growth into every class he leads.
