About Lindsey
I am from North Carolina, and I love to write! I have younger siblings whom I spend my time helping with their homework. On a day-to-day basis, I visit elementary schools to learn more about their background and their learning environment. My passion is to go back to school for my Master's and Doctoral degree so I can become a Superintendent of a school district to better the education of students.

When teaching, I use a student-centered approach that focuses on communication, engagement, and clear understanding. Every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to meet my students' needs.
I also focus on positive reinforcement to encourage confidence and motivation when my students are working. When students feel supported by others, they become more willing to ask questions and work harder.
As a student at ECU, we focus on the 6-step lesson plan to break down the lesson plan, so it isn't rushed and allows students to take their time while learning. My lesson plans include anchor charts, learning activities, and other resources to strengthen comprehension and long-term learning.
