About Becky
My name is Beckie Vega, and I graduated in May 2024, from Southern Adventist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts Education K-6 (elementary education). Throughout my college career, I tutored elementary students on the side in English, Math, and Science. Before college, I served as a missionary in Bolivia and taught music and English there for a year, to both children and adults.
My favorite subjects are science, English and social studies, and I love to help others learn and love those subjects too!

As a tutor, I like to use mostly hands on and visual techniques. Things like learning games, repetition activities, diagrams, etc.
My expertise is in English Language Arts for grades 3-6.
For a typical tutoring lesson plan for elementary English language arts, I would start out with review exercises on the student’s stronger topics, then move on to topics that need more work. My goal as a tutor is to assist the student in finding their best learning style and show them how to use it to learn their tougher subjects better. My motto is that everyone can learn, and thrive in learning.
