About Alfie
I am an experienced A level and GCSE tutor specialising in the tutoring of STEM subjects. Currently I am studying Electronic and Computer Engineering at the University of Sheffield, hence my specialisation in the STEM field.
I have past experience in the tutoring of mathematics and many years of experience teaching photography and digital post production to all ages. The teaching of photography and how to use the Adobe Creative Cloud suite thoroughly excites me. Having worked as a studio and wedding/events photographer I can bring a professional point of view to the teaching of Arts subjects and the creation of portfolios.
Additionally, I can assist with exam preparation both in general and subject specific areas both at GCSE and A Level standards. Having completed the 11+ entry exams within the last decade, just, I have first hand experience on how to pass them successfully. Therefore, I can aid in the learning of both verbal and non-verbal reasoning along with preparing for the exams themselves.
Currently, I am only delivering lessons online due to the extraordinary circumstances we are all experiencing. However, I have a vast knowledge in the use of digital tools so believe that I can still deliver lessons to the highest quality.

My teaching style is very visual, explaining design concepts in ways that create both and interesting lesson and ease with the understanding of the subject matter.

Alfie’s enthusiasm for the subjects he teaches helps to make him a wonderful tutor. He is very knowledgable and he explains subjects in an interesting and clear way. Alfie is also patient and friendly. I would recommend Alfie, he is a great tutor.
Alfie is a great, patient tutor. He's an engaging tutor and when I struggle with a certain things he's always happy to go over it again and take his time to explain. I'd recommend Alfie to anyone wanting to learn Photoshop, whatever your starting level of experience. His own enthusiasm for photo editing and digital art is exactly what you'd want in a tutor.
As a friend, Alfie has shown himself to be not only meticulously organised, but also passionate about education. Alfie is both highly knowledgeable and also friendly, the perfect combination for a tutor. I'm sure Alfie would prove himself to be a dedicated and entertaining tutor.
