My teaching approach is structured, interactive, and tailored to the individual learner. I focus on helping students understand the principles behind mathematical and physics concepts, rather than simply memorizing formulas.
I typically begin by assessing the student's current level and identifying areas where they need support. I then break complex topics into simpler, logical steps, using worked examples, practical applications, and guided exercises. I encourage students to attempt problems independently while providing support and explanations where necessary.
For Mathematics, I place particular emphasis on problem-solving, logical reasoning, and building confidence with calculations and formulas. For Physics, I focus on connecting theoretical concepts to real-world applications so that students can understand not just how to solve a problem, but why the solution works.
I also adapt my teaching style depending on the student's objectives, whether they are preparing for examinations, strengthening their fundamentals, or seeking a deeper understanding of the subject.
Typical Lesson Length
My typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although I can adapt the duration depending on the student's level, learning objectives, and subject requirements. Longer sessions can also be arranged for intensive examination preparation or more advanced topics.
Qualifications and Experience
I hold a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, which provided me with a strong foundation in Mathematics, Physics, engineering mathematics, and quantitative problem-solving.
My academic and professional background has required extensive use of analytical reasoning, quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and problem-solving. I currently work in the investment and finance industry, where I regularly analyze complex information, build quantitative models, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
I bring this analytical and structured approach into my teaching, with a strong focus on helping students develop the confidence and problem-solving skills required to succeed independently.
