About Marco
He was born in Reggio Emilia in 1996 and approaches music at the age of 11 studying saxophone with Maestro Andrea Corradi. Two years later he won the first absolute prize at the Alfredo Impullitti National Music Competition “Note per la Memoria” (2010 Edition).
At the age of 13 he began taking electric bass lessons at the Cepam in Reggio Emilia with Maestro Riccardo Sgavetti. Later he attended the "Attilio Bertolucci" Musical High School in Parma and attended various masterclasses of electric bass and pop music, jazz and improvisation, including those of Federico Malaman, Lorenzo Poli, Roberto Bonati, Agostino Marangolo. During 2016 he studied with bassist Dado Neri. In 2016 he graduated from the Liceo Musicale and passed the admission exam to the "Arrigo Boito" Conservatory of Parma for the popular electric bass class, where he graduated in 2020 under the guidance of M ° Fabio Crespiatico and M ° Lorenzo Poly.
Currently he attends the two years of pop / rock bass at the A. Boito conservatory in Parma under the guidance of the masters Lorenzo Poli and Pippo Matino.
During the period of high school he joined the Bertolucci Swing Band, an orchestra directed by Maestro Alessandro Creola, with a repertoire that ranges from jazz standards, to musicals, pop and rock and with which he participated in various local and national reviews. and international and performs in stages such as the Campus Industry, the Paganini Auditorium in Parma, the Teatro Regio in Parma, the Labirinto della Magione and many others. Always with the Bertolucci Swing Band appears on various local TV and radio for recordings and direct. In the meantime he plays in various pop rock bands and modern orchestras throughout Emilia Romagna.
In 2016 he joined the Notagitana, a Reggio Emilia group with which in the summer of 2017 he played on tour, presenting a show of unreleased songs and covers and of which he takes care, together with the other members of the group, of the arrangements. Also with Notagitana he recorded the album Consecuencia, released in the spring of 2019.
From 2017 to 2019 he collaborates with Michele Ranieri's band
In July 2018 he accompanies the band Sleeping Romance (Ulterium Records, Napalm Records) in concert at the “Seaside Music and Mission Festival” in Norway. In September of the same year the collaboration continues
with the band in the “Alba European Tour” between Germany, Holland and Belgium and since then he has been a permanent member of the band, which performs all over Europe.
In 2018 he worked as assistant to the musical direction for "Radio Italia Live - Il Concerto" in Piazza Duomo in Milan under the guidance of Maestro Bruno Santori.
in 2021 he plays with Wayne Marshall and La Toscanini Next at the Regio theater in Parma for the Christmas concert.
Since 2019 he has been a teacher of electric bass and ensemble music at the music school "M ° W. Tosi" in Boretto (RE)
Since 2022 he has been a teacher of electric bass at the “Grooveland Music School” of Reggio Emilia

The electric bass lessons are open to everyone: From total beginners, to those who want to start studying the bass with a better method and to deepen the knowledge already acquired or for those who want to prepare for entry into musical high schools, academies and conservatories.
During the course of study we will face the fundamental techniques of the electric bass, the main styles and repertoires, without ever neglecting the notions of theory and harmony essential to become better musicians.

Sono stato uno studente di Marco per 5 mesi e mi sono trovato bene sin dall'inizio, è paziente e riesce a darti in parti uguali un sacco di nozioni su parte teorica e pratica.
Mi aiutava sempre anche quando avevo dei progetti personali che volevo portare avanti man mano che diventavo più bravo a suonare.
Ho smesso di andarci per via del COVID, non perché abbia avuto qualche tipo di problema, anzi tutt'altro, sarei rimasto volentieri per imparare ancora di più.
È affidabile, organizzato e disponibile, quindi non vedo motivi per cui voialtri non dobbiate andarci.
Conoscere Marco è stata una fortuna! Premettendo che mi sono avvicinata allo studio del basso partendo da zero, ho trovato in Marco un insegnante preparato, competente e soprattutto chiaro nelle spiegazioni oltre ad essere sempre paziente e disponibile. Marco mi ha sempre dato la motivazione e l'incoraggiamento per riuscire ad affrontare le difficoltà che si incontrano durante lo studio. Marco è un ottimo insegnante che consiglierei a tutti!
