About Jodie

My name is Jodie Matthews and I live in South Africa. I studied Early Childhood Development and one of my majors was Child Psychology. I then got my first teaching job as a Pre-school teacher. While working I went on to study part time and I studied Intermediate Phase (Grade 4-7). I worked for a year at my first school and then moved on to a school for Grade R learners with learning disabilities, specifically speech disabilities which involved me teaching them the basics of English, language, grammar and speech. I have been teaching for 4 years and I have been passionate about teaching and children for the longest time. I believe that everyone deserves and has the right to education doesn’t matter how old you are.

About the lesson

My lessons are unique because I always try to keep it fun but also ensuring that my students learn something from the lesson. Learning should be fun and an exciting experience for everyone and it should always be about the students. I want to make sure each and every student can end off a lesson with confidence in their work.
