About Ihemere
Hello I am Ihemere, David Onyekachi, an Educationist, EdTech enthusiast, leader and Volunteer with a deep commitment to improving teaching and learning through innovation, research, and service. My professional interests are rooted in the belief that quality education is the foundation for sustainable development, personal growth, and societal transformation in line with SDG 4. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Curriculum Studies and Educational Technology (Physics option) from the University of Port Harcourt Southern Nigeria, where I developed a strong foundation in curriculum planning, instructional strategies, learning theories, and the effective integration of technology into education. I am currently pursuing a Master of Education (M.Ed) in Educational Technology, further strengthening my expertise in technology-enhanced learning, instructional design, and educational innovation. My academic and professional journey reflects a strong alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education). I am particularly interested in how education systems can be improved to become more inclusive, learner-centered, and responsive to the demands of a rapidly changing world. I believe that when teaching is intentional, research-driven, and supported by appropriate technology, learning becomes more meaningful and impactful. I have gained experience across multiple roles, including teaching, research, public speaking, and volunteering. Through these roles, I have engaged with learners, educators, and communities, contributing to educational development at both formal and informal levels. My teaching experience has strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, adapt instruction to diverse learners, and foster environments that support curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. My areas of interest and professional focus include: Educational Technology (EdTech) and digital learning tools. Curriculum development and instructional design Teaching and learning processes. Teacher education and professional development Community development and educational advocacy Beyond academics and professional practice, I value collaboration, service, and continuous growth. I am open to opportunities that allow me to contribute meaningfully to education-focused projects, initiatives, training programs, volunteering efforts, and policy or practice-oriented discussions. I have a deep passion to teach because I desire to create impact in the lives of young people.
