About Amy
I am a first year veterinary medicine student. I have been riding for as long as I can remember, competing to a high level in showing, dressage, showjumping, eventing and PC games. I have taught several riders from beginner to intermediate at my previous yard and am looking to improve my teaching skills further whilst also having fun

About the lesson

I like to first watch and see what your current level is and assess your confidence. I will then slowly start adding in little tips as you work in for the first 5-10 minutes. You and the horse would then have a small break and we would discuss what you want to work on specifically and how I think you will be able to achieve that. We would work on that and in the past, when necessary e.g. a young horse and an inexperienced rider, I would be able to demonstrate what I mean on the horse, though I prefer riders to figure things out for themselves. In an online session we would be able to look at and analyse any videos you have of you riding or at competitions as well as working on body posture, balance and evenness, all away from the saddle
