My lessons are typically 1 to 2 hours depending on the level and needs of the student. I adapt the way I teach based on each student and what kind of learner they are. I usually like to do discussion-based lessons, where I talk through the subject matter and techniques, before stepping back and allowing the student to do independent work, which is then reviewed together. I find this style is particularly useful to those who need more time for explanation than can usually be afforded to them in class time. I have been tutoring for nearly eight years now and thoroughly enjoy it. I have worked in secondary and primary schools, in universities/colleges as well as privately. I mainly work with students of KS3 and GCSE level, but have plenty of experience working with A-Level and university level students on their essay technique.
