About Charlotte
I’m Charlotte, a Chemical Engineering graduate (MEng, University of Edinburgh) now working in London as an investor in climate technology companies. My degree covered everything from carbon capture design to bioprocessing, and before my current role I spent several years in consulting, so I’ve used the maths and chemistry I teach well beyond the exam hall. I enjoy showing students where a topic actually leads, which tends to make it stick. I’m patient, I explain things in plain language, and I don’t move on until a concept makes sense to you.

I studied Chemical Engineering (MEng) at the University of Edinburgh, and I use maths and chemistry every day rather than just remembering them from school. Lessons start with what you’re finding hardest, whether that’s a topic from class or a past paper question you got stuck on. I explain the idea from first principles, then we work through exam-style questions together until you can do them on your own. I’ll set a short piece of practice between lessons and go through it at the start of the next one. Lessons are usually one hour, in London or online.
