About Corshenna
Working as an essential skills maths teacher and as a former accountant with a BSc in Economics with Finance from Queen’s University Belfast, I bring both academic and real-world experience. My approach is student-centred and empathetic—I begin each session by understanding individual goals, whether that’s academic success or greater confidence with the subject matter. With experience across CCEA, AQA, OCR and Edexcel, I create tailored plans that suit each learners' challenges and exam board requirements. My aim is not only to teach, but to empower—so that students feel genuine pride in the progress they’ve made.

My sessions are designed with the student in mind. I begin by understanding their goals. Should it be academic achievement or building confidence with the subject material. At first I will have a chat with the student to identify goals and problem areas, then I will ask how the material has previously been taught and how they are currently revising. From there we can form a plan. We will then start addressing the areas the student highlighted and action the personalised plan. My aim is to empower the student so they can achieve their goal. To be part of the pride they feel when their hard work pays dividends. For GCSE I recommend an hour lesson and for A-level an hour and a half but this will depend on the circumstances and the students need.
