About Amara

As an educator with a Master's degree in Economics and over 4 years of teaching experience, my passion for economics and commitment to student learning define my career. I began my journey in academia driven by a fascination with economic theories and their application to real-world scenarios. Through my teaching, I aim to inspire students to appreciate the complexities of economic phenomena and equip them with the analytical skills needed to navigate these complexities effectively.

My teaching philosophy centers on creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment where students feel motivated to explore economic theories, principles, and methodologies. I strive to make complex economic concepts accessible by using practical examples, case studies, and current economic events to illustrate their relevance. Whether teaching econometrics, macroeconomics, or other specialized topics, I emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate economic ideas effectively.

In my economics lessons, I aim to provide students with a robust understanding of both theoretical concepts and practical applications in econometrics and macroeconomics. Econometrics, a vital branch of economics, involves the application of statistical methods to analyze economic data and test hypotheses. Students learn to model economic relationships, interpret statistical results, and apply these findings to real-world economic issues. Topics include regression analysis, time series analysis, and econometric modeling techniques used in finance, policy evaluation, and business decision-making.

Macroeconomics lessons delve into the study of aggregate economic phenomena at the national and global levels. Students explore key macroeconomic principles such as inflation, unemployment, economic growth, and the role of government policies. Discussions often revolve around the implications of fiscal and monetary policies, international trade, and economic development strategies. Current events and case studies are integrated to illustrate how macroeconomic theories apply to contemporary economic challenges.
