About Dennis
I studied Economics (with a focus on data analytics), statistics and mathematics at the University of Toronto. 8 years ago I began tutoring, helping foreigners learn English. Since then, I've also started teaching students math, applying the experience I received from my previous language-focused teaching. I am a patient teacher who finds as many new ways of explaining concepts as required for the student to understand it.

In our lessons, we will not just learn how to mechanically do mathematics. Instead, we will focus on understanding the logic and intuition behind the process, and work through the process step by step to ensure total understanding.
By not simply memorizing how to do math mechanically, but instead understanding the math intuitively, students are able to apply the math to new problems whether in school or in life.
This base of skills & knowledge is vital for students to be able to further develop their mathematical skills.
My lessons are meant for elementary and middle school students.
