About Harper
I developed my passion for economics while observing markets and human behaviour. I earned a Master’s in Economics and have spent 8 years teaching students at various levels. My approach combines patient explanation, practical examples, and structured guidance, enabling learners to grasp both theory and application effectively.
I emphasise making economics approachable and relevant. Lessons are interactive, allowing students to ask questions and work through problems with support. I focus on connecting theoretical principles to real-life situations, helping learners develop critical thinking and confidence.
Beyond teaching, I follow economic developments, read research papers, and analyse case studies. This ensures my lessons remain current and relevant. Teaching economics is fulfilling because I witness students apply their knowledge thoughtfully, think critically, and gain confidence in both academic and practical contexts.

Economics is a fascinating subject when students can connect abstract theory to real-world situations. My lessons focus on explaining microeconomics, macroeconomics, supply-demand relationships, market structures, fiscal and monetary policy, and decision-making in everyday life. Each session encourages questions, discussion, and critical thinking, helping learners build both conceptual clarity and practical insight into economic principles.
I design lessons to match students’ levels. Beginners explore foundational concepts such as basic supply and demand, price determination, and market equilibrium. Intermediate learners focus on elasticity, cost analysis, market dynamics, and financial applications. Advanced learners study macroeconomic models, policy evaluation, international trade, and real-world case studies. I integrate exercises, scenario analysis, and guided problem-solving so students can apply concepts effectively, reinforcing learning through practice.
Studying economics develops analytical skills, logical reasoning, and decision-making abilities. Students gain confidence in interpreting data, evaluating policies, and understanding trends in markets and society.
