About Dara
I focus on making the lesson space a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy staying active and follow a number of sports: football, formula 1, tennis and recently ice hockey. I am also involved in Model United Nations, and I enjoy reading detective novels in my spare time.

My teaching style focuses on making concepts intuitive by relating them to familiar ideas and real-world examples. I place a strong emphasis on exam technique through past papers and examiners' reports to apply concepts effectively under timed conditions and I tailor sessions to each student’s goals and learning style, which I learn by taking the time to get to know each student.
I am most familiar with AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards. A typical lesson includes knowledge review and practice through active recall methods, we then focus on worked examples to solidify the knowledge, and spend a good chunk of time on exam-style practice using past papers and examiners' reports to influence targeted feedback.
