I have experience teaching students with a wide range of abilities and have found a method that works.
When I was revising for this exam I found the best approach was doing lots and lots of past papers, marking my answers and then revising the topics that I didn't do as well in. I have found that this method has also been effective with the 4 students I have tutored before, who all received at least their expected grade and all were strong passes.

During year 11, Alex tutored me. We focussed on the exams specifically.
He was really friendly and explained things in simple and easy-to-understand ways which meant I wasn't afraid to ask more questions when I wasn't 100% sure.
He also trusted that I could do it on my own and gave me enough space to get on until I needed his help. He had great ways of helping me remember formulas and testing that I remembered things from the week before.
Because he takes an exam-based approach, I felt like I made a lot of progress towards my final GCSE exam.View more recommendations
