About Laeticia
Hi, I’m Laeticia! I’ve always loved breaking down complex problems into smaller, manageable steps and that’s why maths excites me, and why I enjoy teaching it. For me, the most rewarding part of tutoring is seeing a student grow in confidence and walk into an exam room believing they can do it. On paper, I’m an ACA-qualified accountant with a First-Class degree in Economics, but you should think of me more like your cooler older sister: approachable, supportive, and here to make maths less intimidating and more fun.

Techniques and Methodology I focus on building strong foundations in maths by teaching through examples and providing clear frameworks for problem-solving. My goal is to help students understand why methods work, not just memorise them, so they can confidently apply principles across different types of questions. I encourage active participation, guided practice, and repetition to reinforce learning and boost confidence. Lesson Structure A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and begins with a quick recap of previous topics to consolidate knowledge. We then focus on one or two key areas, working through examples together before moving on to independent practice. I always end sessions with a summary and next steps so students know what to focus on between lessons. Qualifications & Experience I am an ACA-qualified professional with a First Class degree in Economics, Finance & Management from Queen Mary, University of London. My background gives me strong mathematical and analytical expertise, and I enjoy breaking complex topics into clear, manageable steps. Who My Lessons Are For I tutor students preparing for GCSE and A-Level Maths, as well as those seeking to strengthen their core maths skills at secondary school level. My approach works well for students who want to improve exam performance, build confidence, or simply enjoy maths more.
