About Dom
Hi, I'm Dom. I am currently a student at the University of Leeds studying Ecology and Conservation Biology. I love rowing, films and random geography facts, but my biggest passion is the world of conservation and how we will save our Earth's biodiversity. I think that one of the most important ways of doing this is being able to teach others of the importance of the natural world, so I am looking for all the experience I can get in teaching, and what could be a better way of doing this than sharing all the knowledge I gained in my years of school? After achieving top grades at both GCSE and A-level, I would like to share both my subject knowledge in my 4 main areas and the techniques I learnt in what the best way to learn these are.

I aim to tailor to the student's individual needs and the topics they feel they need to work on the most, making sure to give them plenty of opportunity to say what they don't understand from learning in school and support them fully from in explaining and practising until they feel confident. I will mostly stick to 1 topic per lesson, which will be arranged in advance to allow me to source or make practice material to be used in the lesson. Typical lessons will last 30 mins to 1 hour (but I will always be open to support the lesson lengths that best fit with the student's needs). I have 11 GCSEs with grade 9s in all of them and 4 A-levels and an EPQ with A* grades in all of them (including chemistry, maths, geography and biology at both levels). I have 1 year's experience tutoring at high school level (Y9 age), but I am offering lessons for Y7 to GCSE for maths and chemistry and up to A-level for biology and geography.
