About Mary
Hi I’m Mary and I am a current Master's student at Durham University. I want to help people who are struggling with English and English literature as I have a great love for the subject, and believe that all it takes is a good teacher for anyone to be able to enjoy it and have fun learning! I want to provide people with a relaxed, friendly environment where they can be comfortable to make mistakes and receive constant support in improving their skills.

My lessons are friendly and welcoming for anyone of any level, whether you are a complete beginner wanting to learn English or needing some extra help with school assignments. I hold an A* in A-Level and GCSE English language and literature, and I am happy to help tutor courses from any education board! Having previously tutored both people my age and younger children I am confident in my approach and can ensure high results. As someone who also speaks four languages I am familiar with varying grammatical structures and provide simple, interactive lessons to aid in your understanding of the language. My teaching hours are flexible and personalised to suit your timetable, with a typical lesson being around 45 minutes to an hour depending on your schedule.
