About Arya
I am a first-year Law student at Durham University. I would consider myself to be an emotionally intelligent, patient and well-organised person.
I have extensive experience working with children and teenagers, including those with SEN, through roles in tutoring, childcare and youth support. This has helped me develop the ability to adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs and personalities.
Outside of my studies, I love making art, dancing, playing badminton and playing the saxophone.

I offer friendly, patient and fully tailored online lessons for students studying GCSE and A-Level History, as well as 11+ Maths and English. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to their individual needs, goals and learning style.
If a student already knows which topics they are struggling with, I can provide targeted support and practice in those areas. If they are unsure where to begin, I can create a clear, structured plan to build knowledge, confidence and exam skills from the ground up, including helping students get ahead of school content.
My lessons usually last an hour and include explanation, discussion, worked examples, and practice focused on exams. I always encourage students to ask questions, no matter how small or silly they seem. As a Durham Law student with an A* in A-Level History (with full marks in coursework) and an A in A-Level Maths, I know what it takes to succeed academically. My goal is to create a supportive and understanding space where students feel comfortable learning and making mistakes.
