About Ellery
As a Duke University, second-year student, I have mastered many upper-level math courses and love helping others begin to understand the subjects I adore. Every student has the capability of grasping concepts that may seem challenging, or even out of reach, and sometimes it just takes a new perspective or different approach to learn the skills!
Being an experienced tutor, teaching peers since 2018, I am used to many different students who are unique in learning style, understanding, and desired goals. I enjoy working with these individuals to find what works best for them and to create a good rapport that takes away the stresses and difficulties of learning!

I find math simple to break down and much easier to understand if there is a firm foundation and clear steps explained for each algorithm -- and that is what I am here to offer you! I will always meet students where they are, in terms of the subject matter and learning styles, and am happy to individualize lessons and strategies for each individual.
I typically let the student lead in deciding what to work on each session, based on current needs, but am also experienced in establishing a schedule of lesson plans if it proves better for support.
As I have tutored since middle school, I love working with students of all grades in any of the courses equivalent to or more basic than what I have taken. This list includes, but is not limited to: AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, dual credit College Algebra & Precalculus, Statistics at the University of Texas, and Calculus 1 & 2 as well as Statistics at Duke University.
