About Alexandra
I was a math and science peer tutor head in high school for over 3 years, and I tutored friends and family outside of this position as well. I am passionate about ensuring a strong background in math, and I'm a firm believer that no one actually hates math -- they just weren't taught it properly! I'm open to teaching new angles or perspectives that may be better suited for the student.

I will take time to prepare myself for your particular subject/topic ahead of time. My main focus would be addressing gaps in understanding of the tutee and teaching additional tips and tricks to maximize speed once understanding is achieved, since speed is valued when it comes to exams, tests, and quizzes. My teaching method is asking questions about a particular topic or strategy and assessing weaknesses, and then addressing those, in addition to answering preexisting questions.
