About William
Hi my name is William and I'm a drummer and musician based in the South east of England.
I showed interest and intuition for music from an early age, starting to learn clarinet at age 8. Music was slowly becoming a passion of mine as I got older but everything kicked off for me when I started learning the drums at 14. I took to the instrument like a duck to water! Everyday when I got home from school I would practice for an hour at least; I was soon playing in bands and after just over a year I took my grade 8 exam in drums and passed with merit.
Learning the drums showed me that being a musician was what I wanted to do with my life so when time came to go to university I chose to study at BIMM in Brighton - A college specialising in contemporary music performance. After graduating I started to become a full time gigging musician, now with over 300 gigs under my belt.
These days, when I'm not playing I'm spending time with my family - partner, daughter, son and dog. Seeing my kids start to grow and learn new things and being their teacher has been very fulfilling, giving me the drive to share my passions and knowledge with others.

Dive into the world of drumming with my personalised teaching methods. I emphasise hands-on learning, focusing on foundational techniques and rhythm exploration. Each lesson is crafted to suit your unique learning style, ensuring an engaging and enriching experience.

As a graduate of the Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) and with 15 years of drumming experience, my qualifications are complemented by a passion for teaching. I bring a bunch of real-world experience as a self-employed musician and the dynamic drummer of a function band - Technicolour, ensuring a thorough approach to drum instruction.
Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced drummer, lessons are tailored to meet you at your current skill level and guide you towards your goals.
If you have a genuine interest in drumming and a desire to improve, my lessons are designed to inspire and improve your skills.
