About the lesson

The focus of my sessions is to first develop a fundamental understanding of the subject matter through various approaches which will make the course more interesting and less regurgitative. Then we will go over questions from various sources to cement the theory. I am happy to help the student with any questions they bring to the tutorial.

I will then set some work to do for the next session which I will then go over. Throughout the process I will be writing up notes including explanations of the theory and model answers for questions we have covered which I will give to the tutee at the end of a topic.

Before the first session I will ask for details about the course/exam the tutee is studying and any specific areas which they struggle with.

Perfect! I consider ourselves lucky to have met Betty. My son does not enjoy English, and more specifically, he does not enjoy analysis. In next to no time, Betty has successfully managed to engage him and get him interested in his tasks. Her lesson preparation is impeccable and my son is learning from her high standards and commitment. Her manner is perfect for a teen; she is encouraging and supportive while expecting quality work. I cannot recommend Betty enough.
