About Nicholas
Nick Blackburn holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati and graduate degrees from Indiana University and the University of Cincinnati where he is currently pursuing a DMA. As a performer, Nick has played with a variety of groups including the Dayton Philharmonic, the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati New Music Ensemble, Opera in the Ozarks, among others.

As an active performer and educator I am eager to help students achieve their goals on the double bass! I use a variety of pedagogical resources new and old with custom lesson plans for each student’s specific needs. I teach all skill levels in classical and beginner/intermediate jazz.
