About Hayden
I hold a doctorate in computational physics and do consultancy work with AI and data science. I use maths every day of my life! With a practical bent on mathematics in the real world, teaching has always been my first love. It’s an immense privilege to help those who find themselves where I once was: floundering and yearning for academic guidance and care during a difficult fork in life’s road. With me Maths will become obvious rather than scary. And that’s because we’ll build the necessary understanding so that each question you encounter has an obvious answer.

I believe in understanding the core of a topic and, in doing so, relying as little as possible on ‘having to remember’ how to do something. In reality, once you understand something well, there is very little to remember, because understanding replaces a lot of memory requirement. I structure each lesson on a core piece of understanding, and then provide helpful tricks for confronting real world problems. Lastly, I will always set work to do, and track your progress, because practice makes perfect!
