About Kalani Hiranthika
I was working as a lecturer in Sri Lanka in the field of tourism and hospitality for about 3 years to more than 25 students who were in their early 20s in the classroom.
I am a hardworking, self-motivated person with great IT skills. But I firmly believe that my greatest ability is to teach the students well in the field of tourism and hospitality. My evaluation grades were always higher than the other departmental grades and most students had given their highest scores for my ability to teach, motivate and empathetic behaviour towards each and every student at the classroom.
I certainly believe that teaching is not something that should be done inside a classroom. During my experience as a lecturer in Sri Lanka for more than three years’ time period, I found more innovative teaching methods that could made the student motivated to study more and to work enthusiastically towards their career objectives. A rural tourism development project called ‘Urumaya’ was established by the Level 5 vocational students of University College of Batangala under the supervision and guidance of me to support the tourism industry in Sri Lanka.
In conclusion, I strongly believe the time that I am going to spend with you would be the greatest time that I have had in my life and I would guarantee you that with my experience and credentials, I am well prepared to dedicate myself to the highest standards of lecturing.

My teaching method is combining with the knowledge and attitude. The pastoral care and support were given by myself to the vocational college’s students to improve their knowledge, skills, and attitude. For me, there is no better job than to be with the students and to support them to enhance career objectives.
