About Rathina
My name is Rathina, a second year medical student, eager to help students by providing academic and moral support.
I am currently studying Doctor of Medicine on a merit scholarship (MQ MD Medical Leader of the Future), have completed Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (Honours), and written a thesis on an epidemiological study.
I have extensive tutoring experience in VCE biology, chemistry and psychology both as a personal tutor and as a volunteer at Dandenong High School.

As a medical student and researcher I am very academically driven. I understand the mental discipline and work ethic required to study and can empathise with students. Therefore, I care about providing comprehensive and accessible tuition to those students who are eager to learn.
I also am aware that some students require teaching and assistance in a means which makes the learning enjoyable.
My teaching techniques include clear succinct notes, explanations and real-life examples to which the students can relate and assimilate new content. I also routinely provide practice questions, exams and exam feedback to help students prepare ahead of time for their final exams.
Aside from focusing on the subject content, I also help students plan their study routine, manage time well, and offer moral support when they’re stressed. I believe that instilling and encouraging effective learning strategies can help students beyond their years of high school study.
