About Muhammad
I am a Year 12 student currently studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computer Science (AS). I recently completed my GCSEs, achieving 9s and 8s across my STEM subjects, including a Grade 8 in Maths.
Because I sat my exams quite recently, I don't just know the content-I know the "feel" of the papers, the nuances of the mark scheme and the most efficient methods for securing the marks. I understand the pressure of the new 9-1 grading system many parents and students may feel confused about, and the specific way questions are being phrased in 2026.
Why I started tutoring:
I've always been the person my friends turn to when they don't understand a topic in class. I realised that most people don't struggle because they "aren't good at maths," but because the classroom explanation didn't click with their way of thinking. I enjoy finding that "missing link" for people, and supporting them until they truly feel confident.
Beyond the Grade:
Studying Further Maths and Physics has given me a deeper appreciation for how interconnected Mathematics is, inspiring me to study Mechanical Engineering in a top level university. My goal isn't to just help people pass an exam, but to show how logical and rewarding Maths can be when you stop fighting formulas and start understanding patterns.

Most students struggle with Maths because they are taught to memorise "tricks" and "formulas". This is highly inefficient due to the panic every student feels as soon as they enter an exam, immediately forgetting all formulas they memorised for hours, and spending 90% of the time per question figuring out where to even start. My fix is to teach the logic behind the numbers. When you understand the why, you figure out the how by yourself, and you can solve any problem, even the ones you haven't seen before.
A typical session looks like:
• The "Why" First: We start each topic by deconstructing the logic. For example, instead of memorising the equation of a circle, I'll show you how it's actually just Pythagoras' Theorem in disguise, something most students easily understand already.
• Active Problem Solving: We use an interactive digital whiteboard. (no software download necessary) to ensure my students don't just watch me work; we'll solve problems together, moving from basic concepts to those tricky "Grade 9" multi-step questions.
• The A-Level Edge: As a Further Maths, Maths and Physics student, I can show you the "shortcuts" and logical links that make GCSE content feel significantly easier and more intuitive.
• Exam Strategy: We finish by looking at real past-paper questions. I'll teach you how to "read" the examiner's mind, showing you exactly where the marks hide, so you never leave a question blank.
My Overall Goal:
Having achieved a Grade 8 myself, and currently on an A* for predicted A-Levels, I know exactly what it takes to bridge the gap from a pass to top results. I want to ensure you move away from "I don't get it" to "That makes sense!" I provide a low-pressure, relatable environment where no question is considered a stupid one.

An absolutely amazing tutor that knows his stuff. He helped me throughout GCSEs with Maths and the Sciences. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, respectful and intelligent person to guide them through their academic journey.
Muhammad has been my most trusted comrade for many years now.
For all the years I've known him, his mathematical prowess has shown to be second to none. His sheer maths intellect has saved my Maths grade from near failing (grade 4) to a brilliant grade 8.
Please put all your trust in this man as his determination to maths overshadows any other need or want in his life. That is all.View more recommendations
