About Ruhiya
I am a professional recording artist, performer and vocal coach with more than twenty years of experience performing internationally across the UK, Europe, the United States and the Middle East. Alongside writing, recording and releasing my own music, I have studied with respected teachers from classical, contemporary, jazz and Hindustani vocal traditions. My teaching combines real-world performance experience with healthy vocal technique, creativity and a supportive, student-centred approach, helping singers develop confidence, freedom and authentic self-expression. In addition to my lived experience as a professional singer, I also have a Masters in Music (with Distinction) and I am a trained sound healing instructor with the College of Sound Healing UK.

My singing lessons are tailored to each individual, whether you are a complete beginner, an experienced vocalist, or someone looking to improve confidence in speaking and performance. Drawing on over twenty years of professional performance and recording experience, I combine healthy vocal technique, breathwork, body awareness and creative exploration to help you develop a voice that feels natural, expressive and free. Lessons are relaxed, supportive and enjoyable, focusing on building confidence, expanding vocal range, improving tone and control, and reducing tension so you can sing with greater ease and authenticity.

Please note, due to my limited availability I do not offer a 1 hour free lesson, but I do offer a free 15 minute consultation to discuss working together.
I can also offer reduced rates for those on low income (subject to availability), and package deals for regular students.
