About Chris
My name is Christian, and I am currently a High School student, enrolled into the IB Diploma program. I am taking Math, Physics, and Chemistry HL, and English, Spanish, Economics SL.
I have various experiences teaching and tutoring younger students regarding various topics. As a tutor, I believe it is my duty to tailor the tutoring class personally for the student so he/she may get the most out of every session, to catch up and get ahead in school material.
I myself am currently learning through tutors, and I have had countless tutoring sessions for the past 4 years. When it comes to tutoring, I have taken note on different methods and ways that best benefit the student. I deeply value time as well as money for tutoring, and will guarantee that I will do my all in providing the student with the best help he/she can get during the session. I know for a fact I can find ways to give great value through my tutoring sessions.
Although I am younger than most tutors, I see it as an advantage when it comes to effectively communicating and connecting with younger students. I understand what it is like to struggle in school, and will make sure the student is comfortable with making mistakes, as mistakes are natural, necessary, and essential for positive growth as a student.

My sessions will typically be 1 hour to 2 hours in duration, which helps students build focus during rigorous tutoring sessions. During tutoring sessions, I firstly start off with 5 minutes of socializing to destress and connect with the student. After that, I focus on helping students understand class material, help them with homework or projects from school, and teach new material that may benefit the student, giving them an early head start for future units/topics that will be covered in school, which I highly recommend. Note there will be short breaks in between the session.
I am also open to helping with other topics if needed during the session (English, History, etc.). I can assign homework so students can gain extra practice and confidence in material I go over during sessions. Mini quizzes may also be used to replicate school exams and help students gain useful test taking experience.
Prior to the session, it is recommended if the student or the student's parents can let me know what specific things the student would like to learn or focus on during the session, so I may prepare questions, notes, as well as presentations to use. Students and parents may also freely contact me apart from sessions regarding any general questions, or school material related questions. I am also open to any suggestions and points of improvement by the student or parents, in ways I can help the student gain more from the tutoring sessions.
If parents want, I am also willing to send out an email/message to parents after every session to report how the student is doing, as well as what was covered in the session. Homework from tutoring sessions is also an option for students who want to practice material taught outside of school.
These lessons are mainly for Elementary to Middle school students who need help in Math, Chemistry, or Physics at the appropriate level.
The first lesson will be free, and students will get the same experience they would get from a typical lesson.
*I will mainly be using Zoom for online lessons.*
