About Raul
I’m a creative, husband, dad of two little girls (girl power!), and educator with over a decade of teaching experience across K-12, community college, and the film industry. Having worked professionally behind the camera (and in front); and in the classroom, I know how to break down technical skills into easy, actionable steps. My goal is simple: to empower you to capture the moments that matter most.

Photography should be fun, not overwhelming. My lessons blend clear explanations, quick reference notes, and hands-on practice to strip away the confusing jargon. We will navigate your camera's menus together, master core settings like aperture, shutter speed and ISO, and get you shooting in manual mode faster than you think. Whether you're preparing for a big trip, starting a new hobby, or just want to improve, you’ll walk away with real skills and confidence. ¡Hablo Español!

Perfect! Raul is an incredibly inspiring photography teacher who makes learning feel exciting and meaningful. His passion for photography is contagious, and the way he teaches goes beyond simply learning how to use a camera - he teaches you to see the world differently. After my first lesson, I felt inspired to slow down, notice the beauty around me, and capture moments with intention and emotion. He is patient, encouraging, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping students grow. I'm so grateful for this experience and excited for everything I'll continue to learn. Thank you Raul for inspiring me to see and photograph the world through a different lens. God bless!

Perfect! Raul was very punctual and had a kind demeanor. He explained things slowly and made sure what he was teaching made sense. Excited for the next lesson.
- My student was a pleasure to work with. She was kind, inquisitive, and adept at some of the photography concepts that are challenging for others. I’m excited to work with her again.Raul's response :
