My French teaching relies on detailed diagnostic assessment at the start of every tutoring relationship, identifying precisely where a student's specific weaknesses lie before designing a targeted plan rather than a generic syllabus for everyone. Grammar structures are drilled repeatedly until they meet a genuinely conversational standard, not simply until they sound reasonably acceptable in casual conversation somewhere. I schedule regular review sessions monthly, replicating real conversational pressure a student will actually face in daily life or work situations. Feedback is specific and tied directly to observable patterns in a student's speech or writing rather than vague general encouragement. Every single lesson serves measurable progress directly and deliberately.
