About Ella
You will find our time together moves at a pace that respects your current ability level. Before we build a plan, I conduct a diagnostic level test to identify your strengths and specific gaps. We talk through complex scenarios to improve your accent and intonation naturally. It feels much like sitting in a Parisian cafe where mistakes are treated as necessary stepping stones rather than failures.
My background as a federal instructor means I prioritize authentic dialogue practice over dry textbook drills. You should expect to see your confidence grow as we navigate the nuances of French syntax. A warm environment is crucial when tackling difficult grammatical concepts or tricky pronunciation rules.
We can adjust the difficulty of our role play sessions based on your personal or professional objectives. This structured yet flexible path ensures that you feel prepared for any real-world conversation or exam requirement.

Sunlight streams through the office windows where I spent 9 years refining federal language training methods. Holding an MA in French and a CELTA from McGill University provides the solid foundation I use to assist diverse learners.
My practice welcomes French immersion graduates who seek to polish their speaking abilities alongside newcomer families integrating into Canadian society. Coaching students through interview preparation and role play helps me maintain a clear focus on conversational fluency. Incorporating idioms and expressions into our work adds color to the formal vocabulary building we do together.
