About Girisha
Hello! I’m a passionate and creative fashion designer based in Bangalore, with a diverse range of interests that include not only fashion but also music, event design, and various artistic endeavors. With over five years of experience teaching art, I’ve had the pleasure of helping students of all ages unlock their creative potential, guiding them through both the fundamentals and more advanced techniques in design. My approach to teaching is rooted in my own journey as an artist—constantly exploring, evolving, and pushing boundaries. Whether it’s sketching, designing, or organizing vibrant music events, I bring an innovative touch to everything I do. I believe in a personalized and hands-on approach to teaching, where each student’s individuality is celebrated and nurtured. Outside of my design work, I’m a proud mom to two adorable dogs, who are always by my side, keeping me inspired and motivated. Whether I’m working on a new fashion collection, collaborating on an event, or diving into a new artistic project, I approach every endeavor with the same level of passion and dedication. Teaching Techniques and Methods:
I believe in a hands-on, personalized approach to teaching art and design, where every student’s creativity and individual learning style is valued. I focus on blending traditional techniques with modern methods, ensuring that students have a well-rounded skill set while also encouraging their unique expression. I use a mix of visual demonstrations, guided practice, constructive critique, and real-world examples to keep students engaged. Depending on their needs, I tailor lessons to focus on fundamentals or more advanced techniques, while always fostering a supportive environment.
Class Structure:
A typical class with me is a balance of theory and practice. I often begin with a brief introduction or discussion of the subject—whether it's a specific technique (like shading or color theory) or an art movement (such as Cubism or Surrealism). This is followed by a demonstration where I showcase the process step by step. Students are then given the chance to practice and experiment with the new concept, either independently or with my guidance. I encourage an open atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their work for feedback. The class usually ends with a group critique or reflection on what was learned, ensuring that every student is able to evaluate their own work and progress.
Special Features as a Teacher:
One of my strengths is creating a nurturing environment where students feel empowered to take creative risks and step out of their comfort zones. I take the time to understand each student's artistic goals, whether they’re exploring art for the first time or refining their skills. I also emphasize the importance of both technical proficiency and personal expression—art isn’t just about mastering skills, but also about discovering one’s voice.
Additionally, I integrate art history and current trends into lessons, giving students a broader perspective on the relevance of their work in a larger context. I encourage exploration beyond traditional mediums, incorporating digital tools or mixed-media projects where appropriate.

My art classes are designed for a wide range of students, from school children and high school students looking to develop their artistic skills, to college students seeking to refine their portfolio or technique. I also offer adult classes, which can cater to those who are just starting their artistic journey or those looking to pick up a creative hobby. Each class is tailored to the student’s age, experience level, and personal artistic aspirations. I aim to make art accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or experience level.
