Layered Learning Technique (LLT)
Concept: Break every dance routine into 3–4 clearly defined layers:
• Layer 1: Basic footwork
• Layer 2: Upper body & arms
• Layer 3: Expression & musicality
• Layer 4: Performance styling
Cultural Crossover” Technique
• Concept: Each week features a different global dance style, fused with a contemporary base (e.g., Afrobeat + hip hop, Kathak + contemporary,
Emotion-Choreography Fusion” Technique
• Concept: Each class is themed around a specific emotion (joy, heartbreak, confidence, freedom), and the choreography is built to express and release that emotion through movement.
Pulse-to-Move Technique
Concept: Teach students to move with the beat first, then layer on choreography. Use pulse drills — where dancers groove to the music without steps, focusing on absorbing rhythm through the body.
Teaching Structure:
1. Find the beat (clap, step, bounce)
2. Pulse drills (isolated or full-body)
3. Add small movements
4. Connect to choreography
