About Wahab
As a third year dental student, I have become familiar with tackling challenging concepts and pushing myself in order to succeed academically. This is something which I want to put across to my students. Having recently finished sixth form, I am well equipped with the knowledge and skills that are required at that stage. I am enthusiastic, adaptable and friendly, which helps me add a personal touch to my teaching. I have good experience in teaching - I have tutored in an 11+ centre and privately for GCSE Maths and Science. I also provide advice, interview preparation and personal statement help to aspiring dental or medical students. I believe that teaching and learning should be interesting and fun rather than a chore. My teaching style is student-oriented and I like to build a solid foundation before working up to challenging questions. I ensure my students have fully grasped a concept and can deal with it independently before moving onto harder areas. I make sure that my teaching style adapts accordingly to the person I am tutoring - having worked in a centre helped me to do so. That being said, I am reliable and you can be sure you're going to enjoy learning and excel if you choose me as your tutor! Wahab is a friendly person who engages well with young people and establishes a good rapport that encourages young people to enjoy learning and their tuition sessions where otherwise they would not have done so. He is able to set appropriate targets and deadlines and encourage students to learn independently too. This is vital in ensuring continuity in revision which is a key element required for students to do well in exams. He has experience with private tuition one on one as well as at tuition centres. He is currently studying Dentistry.
